Our school is situated in Houghton Regis.  Children travel to our school from all areas of the town.  We have a single gate for entry and exit to and from the school at the start and end of the school day on Hammersmith Gardens.

For safety reasons, the school car park is restricted to staff and badge holders only. We encourage our pupils to walk, scoot or cycle to school. We are working alongside Central Bedfordshire Council Sustainable Transport Team to develop and monitor our school Travel Plan.

Our Travel Plan aims to:

• To reduce the number of cars parked on the grass verges outside of the school and surrounding roads at the beginning and end of the school day.
• Increase the number of pupils and staff walking/cycling/scooting/using public transport.
• Decrease pollution levels around the school.

We will continue to promote schemes like Bikeability (Year 5) and road safety awareness. We will also be promoting exciting initiatives for the children such as Walk to School Week and Treat your Feet to encourage healthy and active habits.
